Ramadan timetable for AnkaraMethod: Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı method (Turkey). Asr: Standard.
Times follow Diyanet's official method: İmsak (Fajr) at 18°, Yatsı (Isha) at 17°, plus temkin, the fixed precaution minutes Diyanet adds (sunrise −7, Dhuhr +5, Asr +4, Maghrib +7). In Turkey İmsak is when the fast begins and equals Fajr here. For the places we checked, our minutes match Diyanet's published tables or differ by one minute at most, because Diyanet may use slightly different coordinates for a town. Switch the method or the Asr school below if your mosque follows another timetable.

Ankara does not change its clocks; times stay on Europe/Istanbul all year. How times are calculated
Ankara is the capital, home to about 3,500,000 people. Ankara lies 12.1° west of the 45° E meridian that its time zone is based on. The Sun therefore reaches its highest point about 49 minutes after 12:00 on average, around 12:49, and Dhuhr comes later than the clock suggests.
The Sun never stands straight overhead in Ankara: at Dhuhr it climbs to about 74° above the horizon in June and only 27° in December, so noon shadows are much longer in December. Days in Ankara range from 9h 20m in December to 15h 0m in June, a difference of 5h 40m, and Fajr, Maghrib and Isha shift with them.
Prayer times shift with longitude: about 4 minutes for every degree east or west. Here is how today's Fajr and Maghrib in nearby places compare with Ankara, calculated with the same method.

Get Awqatly for Windows (free)The Kocatepe Mosque, in the Kocatepe quarter of Kızılay, is the largest mosque in Ankara. It was built between 1967 and 1987 and has room for 24,000 worshippers, with a floor of 67 by 64 metres and four minarets, each 88 metres high. Its history is a story about taste. A competition in 1957 chose a modern design by Vedat Dalokay and Nejat Tekelioğlu, but construction stopped at the foundations after criticism of its look. A second competition in 1967 chose a more conservative design by Hüsrev Tayla and M. Fatin Uluengin, a neo-classical Ottoman building inspired by the Selimiye Mosque in Edirne and by the Şehzade and Sultan Ahmed mosques in Istanbul, and that is the building that was completed. Dalokay later designed the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.
Ankara is also the seat of religious administration. The Presidency of Religious Affairs, the Diyanet, founded in 1924 after the caliphate was abolished, manages the country's roughly 85,000 mosques, employs all imams and finances only Sunni worship. It publishes the prayer times for every province and district of Turkey and announces the start of Ramadan and Eid for the whole country.
The times shown here for Ankara follow the Diyanet's method, with imsak (Fajr) at 18 degrees and Yatsı (Isha) at 17 degrees, plus fixed safety minutes (temkin). Ankara lies at 39.9 degrees north and Turkey has kept UTC+3 all year since 2016. On this site's calculation the fast from Fajr to Maghrib in Ankara lasts about 17 hours on 21 June and 11 hours on 21 December. The Diyanet prepares the Friday sermon, and the congregation time is set by each mosque.
