Ramadan timetable for JakartaMethod: Kemenag (Indonesia). Asr: Standard.
Times follow Kemenag's method (Fajr 20°, Isha 18°, 2 to 3 minutes of ihtiyat). They match Kemenag's jadwal sholat to within a minute. Kemenag also corrects for a place's height above sea level, which we do not, so a mountain town can differ a little more.

Jakarta does not change its clocks; times stay on Asia/Jakarta all year. How times are calculated
Jakarta is the capital, home to about 8,500,000 people. Jakarta lies 1.8° east of the 105° E meridian that its time zone is based on, so the Sun is highest about 7 minutes before 12:00 on average, around 11:53, and Dhuhr comes earlier than the clock suggests.
Jakarta lies within the tropics. Around 5 March and 10 October the Sun passes straight overhead at Dhuhr, and upright objects cast almost no shadow at noon. Day length hardly changes in Jakarta, from 11h 46m to 12h 29m through the year, so prayer times move only a little from season to season. As Jakarta is in the southern hemisphere, its longest days come in December and January, and so do its longest fasts whenever Ramadan falls then.
Prayer times shift with longitude: about 4 minutes for every degree east or west. Here is how today's Fajr and Maghrib in nearby places compare with Jakarta, calculated with the same method.

Get Awqatly for Windows (free)The Istiqlal Mosque, the national mosque of Indonesia, is the largest in Southeast Asia. Its name is the Arabic word for independence, and it was built to commemorate Indonesian independence. The foundation stone was laid in 1961, building took 17 years, and President Suharto inaugurated it in 1978. The architect, Friedrich Silaban, won a design competition and was the son of a Lutheran pastor. The main dome has an outer diameter of 45 metres, the minaret is 96.66 metres tall, including a pinnacle of 30 metres in stainless steel, and the mosque holds more than 120,000 people, according to a figure cited in 2013.
What makes the Istiqlal unusual is its neighbours. It stands next to Merdeka Square, the Jakarta Cathedral and the Immanuel Church, and a Tunnel of Friendship was planned to connect the mosque with the cathedral. When Pope Francis visited in 2024 he called the mosque concrete proof of religious moderation in Indonesia, and he signed the Istiqlal Declaration with the Grand Imam, Nasaruddin Umar.
Jakarta is the capital of the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, 87.15% of 251,257,898 people in the 2025 civil registry. For prayer times, Jakarta lies about 6 degrees south of the equator and uses Western Indonesia Time, WIB, UTC+7. On this site's calculation the fast from Fajr to Maghrib in Jakarta lasts about 13 hours on 21 June and 14 hours on 21 December. Because the day length hardly changes, Fajr, Maghrib and Isha move by only a few minutes between seasons. Times here follow the method of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), and the start of Ramadan and Eid is announced after the ministry's sidang isbat; Muhammadiyah, which uses its own hisab method, sometimes announces a different day. Congregation times are set by each mosque.
