Casablanca does not change its clocks; times stay on Africa/Casablanca all year. How times are calculated
Casablanca is the main city of Casablanca-Settat, home to about 3,700,000 people. Casablanca lies 22.6° west of the 15° E meridian that its time zone is based on. The Sun therefore reaches its highest point about 90 minutes after 12:00 on average, around 13:30, and Dhuhr comes later than the clock suggests.
The Sun never stands straight overhead in Casablanca: at Dhuhr it climbs to about 80° above the horizon in June and only 33° in December, so noon shadows are much longer in December. Days in Casablanca range from 9h 55m in December to 14h 23m in June, a difference of 4h 28m, and Fajr, Maghrib and Isha shift with them.
Prayer times shift with longitude: about 4 minutes for every degree east or west. Here is how today's Fajr and Maghrib in nearby places compare with Casablanca, calculated with the same method.

Get Awqatly for Windows (free)The Hassan II Mosque is the monument of Casablanca, on the Boulevard Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah between the harbour and the El Hank lighthouse. Work began in July 1986 and the mosque was completed in 1993, with a formal inauguration in August of that year. The architect was Michel Pinseau and the general contractor was Bouygues. The minaret is 210 metres tall. The prayer hall holds about 25,000 worshippers and the grounds about 80,000 more, and the retractable roof weighs 1,100 tons and can open in five minutes. The mosque is built partly on land and partly over the Atlantic Ocean, on a platform that links a natural rock outcrop.
It was financed largely by public subscription, from about 12 million donors, and Western countries provided construction loans that Morocco repaid. In the basement a large public hammam has its own entrance, and a museum shows traditional Moroccan art and unused architectural elements from the mosque. Casablanca is Morocco's largest city, with about 3.7 million people, in a country where more than 99% are Muslim and the Maliki school is dominant.
For prayer times, Casablanca lies at 33.6 degrees north. The Ministry of Habous publishes its own timetable, with Fajr at 19 degrees and Isha at 17 degrees, and this site follows the same method as described by secondary sources, which we have not yet compared with the ministry's own tables, so the ministry's timetable remains the official reference. During Ramadan Morocco sets its clocks back an hour, from UTC+1 to UTC+0, and the times here use the clock in force on each day. On this site's calculation the fast from Fajr to Maghrib in Casablanca lasts about 16 and a half hours on 21 June and 11 and a half hours on 21 December. The Ministry of Habous announces the start of Ramadan and Eid after the sighting of the crescent.
