Jenjarum does not change its clocks; times stay on Asia/Kuala_Lumpur all year. How times are calculated

Jenjarum, the Sun and the clock

Jenjarum is in Selangor and has about 25,000 people. The nearest larger city is Putra Heights, 16 km to the north-northeast. Jenjarum lies 18.5° west of the 120° E meridian that its time zone is based on. The Sun therefore reaches its highest point about 74 minutes after 12:00 on average, around 13:14, and Dhuhr comes later than the clock suggests.

Jenjarum lies within the tropics. Around 28 March and 16 September the Sun passes straight overhead at Dhuhr, and upright objects cast almost no shadow at noon. Day length hardly changes in Jenjarum, from 11h 57m to 12h 17m through the year, so prayer times move only a little from season to season.

Maghrib time Jenjarum compared with nearby cities
