Mumbai does not change its clocks; times stay on Asia/Kolkata all year. How times are calculated
Mumbai is the main city of Maharashtra, home to about 13,000,000 people. Mumbai lies 9.6° west of the 82.5° E meridian that its time zone is based on. The Sun therefore reaches its highest point about 38 minutes after 12:00 on average, around 12:38, and Dhuhr comes later than the clock suggests.
Mumbai lies within the tropics. Around 17 May and 28 July the Sun passes straight overhead at Dhuhr, and upright objects cast almost no shadow at noon. Days in Mumbai range from 10h 59m in December to 13h 17m in June, a difference of 2h 18m, and Fajr, Maghrib and Isha shift with them.
Prayer times shift with longitude: about 4 minutes for every degree east or west. Here is how today's Fajr and Maghrib in nearby places compare with Mumbai, calculated with the same method.

Get Awqatly for Windows (free)Greater Mumbai had 12,442,373 residents in the 2011 census, the latest to publish religion figures. Muslims were 20.65% of them, behind Hindus at 65.99% and ahead of Buddhists (4.85%), Jains (4.10%) and Christians (3.27%); applied to the city total, 20.65% comes to roughly 2.6 million people. Wikipedia lists the Dawoodi Bohras, the Ismaili Khojas and the Konkani Muslims among the oldest Muslim communities of the city.
The Jama Masjid in Kalbadevi, near Crawford Market, shows how the older community organised itself. Construction began in 1775 on the site of a water reservoir owned by a Konkani Muslim merchant, who agreed to a mosque on condition that the tank was kept. Objections from neighbours delayed the work until 1778, and the article gives 1802 or 1803 for the original building over the tank and 1814 for a top floor. Before that, the Sat Tad Masjid had served as the city's Friday mosque from 1770 to 1802. Under a scheme approved by the High Court in 1897, the Juma Masjid of Bombay Trust is run by eleven directors whom Konkani Muslim congregants elect every three years. The Haji Ali Dargah stands on an islet about 500 metres off Worli, joined to the Mahalakshmi shore by a causeway of roughly one kilometre that can be walked only at low tide. The article dates the shrine of the Sufi merchant Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari to 1431, though it is marked as needing more citations, and it records that about 80,000 visitors a week were contributing to erosion of the structure as of 2009.
